* Interior is plywood, top and bottom are solid wood.

* Solid wood layers are thick and they will allow deep carving.

* Carving touch is very similar to solid wood block.

* As these blocks don't shrink or stretch very much, you can use them for large scale works.

 

* Since these blocks are cut to order, shipments will take a few weeks longer than Shina plywood.

* Yamazakura has been used for traditional Japanese woodblock printing, and is now scarce.

* Top layers are finished by wet sanding, but we accept special orders for hand plane finishing.

* Thickness is around 23mm.
